World Net Daily has a very amusing (maybe that isn’t the right word!) article today about how President Barack Obama’s half brother may have gotten a special (speedy!) approval for a 501(c)3 charitable organization he heads.

President Obama’s half-brother, who runs a foundation that collects funds in the United States, was able to get approval of a tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service in an unheard-of time period of only a month, records reveal.
Barack Obama’s half-brother Abongo Malik Obama, also known as “Roy” Obama, appears to have received the sudden IRS approval to operate as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization in only 30 days. The result was made retroactive for three years.
The Barack H. Obama Foundation, which runs out of a commercial mail drop in Arlington, Va., has solicited tax-deductible contributions on the Internet since 2008.
But it first submitted an application for its tax exemption in May and was granted the status in June, according to records. [Anyone who has set up a charitable organization knows the paperwork takes at least 6 months but a year is probably more realistic.—ed]
Whew! I wonder how many other relatives besides Abongo and Onyango (Uncle Omar) will be coming out of the woodwork looking for favors!
Read the whole article there really is a lot of interesting family history in it. If you have not read ‘Dreams from my Father’ I highly recommend it. I may go back and re-read it in light of the new revelations coming out about Obama’s extended family.

I’m not at all surprized, Obama is like the candy man, he puts forth a healthcare bill, then hands out exemptions to his buddies, more than a thousand of them. He “loans” 535 million to Solyndra, a solar panel manufacturer (Yet another “green” company) who promptly files for bankruptcy, taking our $535 Mil with them. Stimulus, ya know! But wait, the Gov. is going to investigate this company. Want to bet that this story doesn’t just fade away, never to be heard from again?
Then there is tonight’s big jobs speech. I don’t know what you heard, but I heard was this: Gotta do this right now, can’t delay, hurry, hurry, hurry. Wait a minute, where did we hear that before? Can you say Bailout? Can you say stimulus?
Advice to Congress, READ IT BEFORE YOU VOTE FOR IT!
Now, I’ve bored you long enough…to the point.
The democrats have convinced the American people that big business is evil. The republicans have convinced the American people that organized labor is evil. The truth is that neither have the American peoples interest at heart, It’s all about the power to control the people, and money…for them, not you.
The media and a lot of long-time politicians are trying to convince the people that the upcoming election is about nothing but jobs and the economy. But, I would submit that it is about a whole lot more than that, its about govrnment being in your face with regulations that you don’t even know about, from your kitchen, to your bedroom, to your light bulbs; this administration wants to control everything that you do. Its about freedom, and liberty, and you being capable of making your own decisions.
