Here’s a delightful article in the Washington Examiner by Tim Mak, called Roscoe Bartlett goes off the grid. It’s got plenty of pictures of newly bearded former congressman Bartlett around his mountaintop West Virginia property where he has a house or two or three. It doesn’t say anything about whether he moved from Buckeystown or whether he just spends time in West Virginia to do his back-to-the-land thing, which he seems to be exceptionally good at.
Anyway, it’s a fun read. I’m glad Roscoe Bartlett was my congressman for 20 years. I didn’t always agree with him, but I did most of the time, and I always appreciated his independent spirit.
