Update November 2: See new political ad from Seal Team Six: I fought so I would never have to see my President bow to anyone!
The whole Benghazi horror story is advancing so rapidly now that I can’t keep up, but surely you have been watching Fox News’ powerful reporting especially from correspondent Catherine Herridge. Here is one new exclusive story from Herridge that targets blame right where it belongs in the run-up to the attack—at Hillary Clinton’s feet.
[By the way, I heard Herridge on Huckabee recently and she referred to an e-mail as the attack on Benghazi was unfolding that was sent to Hillary’s “special assistant.” Herridge was adamant that the assistant’s job was to put that e-mail in Hillary’s face. I wondered if that might have been Huma Abedin?]
I’m interested this morning in the news, and the update of the news, that Facebook took down a posting from the Special Operations Speaks PAC. Now, Facebook is denying it took it down on purpose. Here is the story at Breitbart:
UPDATE: Facebook Manager Andrew Noyes emailed the following to Breitbart News this morning: We wanted to follow up on the Special Operations Speaks PAC (SOS) article published on Breitbart.com last night. I assure you that removing the image was not an act of censorship on our part. This was an error and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.
Over the weekend, Facebook took down a message by the Special Operations Speaks PAC (SOS) which highlighted the fact that Obama denied backup to the forces being overrun in Benghazi.
The message was contained in a meme which demonstrated how Obama had relied on the SEALS when he was ready to let them get Osama bin Laden, and how he had turned around and denied them when they called for backup on Sept 11.
I spoke with Larry Ward, president of Political Media, Inc — the media company that handles SOS postings and media production. Ward was the one who personally put the Navy SEAL meme up, and the one who received the warning from Facebook and an eventual 24 hour suspension from Facebook because Ward put the meme back up after Facebook told him to take it down.
Be sure to click here to see what Facebook took down and then apologized for.
Read ‘No Easy Day’ by Navy Seal Mark Owen to understand who these special warriors are!
I just last night finished reading the account of how a specially chosen team of Navy Seals killed Osama bin Laden. I could barely put the book down. Critics have been quick to chastise Owen (not his real name) for writing the book in the first place charging that he has let the world know some things that should not be read by the enemy, but I for one am glad to have read about these very special men and the training and devotion that goes into their work. (And, not relied on Hollywood versions of this historical event!)
You must read the book to understand who the two former Navy Seals were—the ones who lost their lives in Benghazi—and why they would never have stood down when it came to defending Americans’ lives.
One little side story in the book that I found especially interesting was about a young woman, an analyst from the CIA, who had spent five years finding bin Laden and told the Seals that she was 100% sure it was him in the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Allowed to go with the team part of the way, to Jalalabad, Afghanistan, she wept upon learning the man responsible for 9/11 had been taken out—it was no easy day.
