Roger Simon: Obama should resign tonight over Benghazi!

And, it is time to name the enemy!

Not pulling any punches here, CEO and cofounder of Pajamas Media, Roger L. Simon, let ’em have it today.

He says Obama is acting like a stoned college kid and should resign over his Administration’s handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack.   Simon knows that won’t ever happen, but for me I would take Hillary’s (and Huma’s!) scalp (and their fellow VulcansSusan Rice and the still mysteriously absent Samantha Power).

But, I digress, back to Simon (at PJ Media):

I won’t hear what I’d like to hear at the presidential foreign policy debate Monday.

What I’d like to hear is Barack Obama resigning over Benghazi, the most extreme public mishandling of an attack on American personnel ever, certainly in my lifetime. If I (or most people) had been president and something like that happened on my (our) watch — and then I had lied about it myself while urging others to cover up — I would be so ashamed of myself I wouldn’t be able to come out in public.

But that’s not what happened. In fact, the reverse occurred. The president acted as if it was Mitt Romney’s fault for ever bringing the subject up. And he had a willing co-conspirator in the morally stunted Candy Crowley.

Stoned on a reefer!

…. If Barack Obama does not resign on Monday, his reputation will be destroyed forever, even if he wins a second term, because Benghazi will not go away.

[…..]

Only a man with a leftover undergraduate ambivalence about Western civilization would have dealt with the Benghazi catastrophe in such a fashion in the first place. Barack Obama responded to the terrorism like a Columbia junior stoned on a reefer, particularly one from his era. He took another toke and moved on. And then when he was told he couldn’t do that, he got angry at the people telling him.

The enemy is not al-Qaeda. It is Islamism!

Simon wrapped up with this:

And one final thing I would like to hear in the foreign policy debate but will not: It’s time to name our enemy. And by that I don’t mean al-Qaeda. That’s just the joker in the pack, the villain with a thousand faces, able to reappear in any mask imaginable and in any location. No, the real enemy is the pack of cards itself — Islamism.

And, this final comment from me—when Obama is gone and Romney takes his place, the whole stinking nest (in the State Department and the Pentagon) must be cleaned out.  There will be no rest for the weary.  We will have much work to do no matter who wins on November 6th.  (See Richard Falknor yesterday at Blue Ridge Forum—“While America slept…..”).

***Update***  Islamists get Red Carpet treatment at Obama White House (Investigative Project on Terrorism).

Readers, be sure also to read Jennifer Rubin at the WaPo last night on how the Administration screwed-up on Libya, here.   Screwed-up isn’t the right word, but you know what I mean—it is worse then screwed-up.

  1. The Potomac Tea Party raises a huge stir over the 4 dead Americans in Benghazi but the Potomac Tea Party is completely quite when 20 elementary school children are killed by a terrorist. It appears that the Potomac Tea Party would rather make a political point against President Obama then mourn the death of American children. The Potomac Tea Party states that Adam Lanza has the Constitutional Right to carry the Sig Sauer and the Glock into the school. The Potomac Tea Party states that if only one of the elementary students had a gun then he could have killed Adam Lanza before the massacre. Lets hear it for the Potomac Tea Party.
