Did the Bilderbergers choose Obama in 2008?

And, who will they pick in 2012?

Here is a story linked on Drudge yesterday and I am posting it here because if you aren’t familiar with the Bilderbergers you should be.  I can hear some of you saying, why post this, it is the stuff of “black helicopters” … well, so maybe there are black helicopters!

And, besides they are meeting in our back yard this year—in Virginia.  LOL! I think the Occupiers should head on over there if  they want to make an impact on bankers and the guys who control the financial markets!  Why spend time with NATO in Chicago, this is where they should be!

Every time a “Bilderberg Meeting” takes place, important things happen. The last time they met in the US was an election year, 2008 – and the world got Obama. This year they’re back in the US: will they decide who the next president of the United State.

When in 2008 they gathered from June 5 to 8 in Chantilly, Virginia – just a stone’s throw from the Washington DC – Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were neck-in-neck in the battle for the Democratic Party’s presidential candidacy.

On June 5 of that year, Barack and Hillary mysteriously “disappeared” for some hours “somewhere in the DC area.”  Their agendas blocked out, they clearly sneaked off to “Meet the Bilderbergers.”

Although most Bilderberg annual meetings are held in Europe – France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Denmark, England, Scotland, Norway – this US election year they’re again gathering at the Westfield Marriott Hotel in Virginia from May 30 to June 3.  Either they’re very fond of that place… or of US elections… or both…!

So the question is: will “key presidential candidacy decisions” be made again this year?

  1. While I agree some focus should be put on it, I think its silly to say that they decide who becomes President. I have gone through all of the conspiracy websites, watched stuff and all of that about the Bilderberg Group. They are really a big elite lobbying group like ALEC, the Business Roundtable, the Financial Roundtable, etc… The US Media biased their coverage and it resulted in a public relations victory: Barack Obama became President. Even with this, the media has supported Republicans and Democrats in the past (George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, etc…) I think that that groups should try a similar tactic used to break up the Bilderberg Group, shame the members of such a group to withdrawal. This will likely weaken it, as happened with ALEC. Still, one should not be pulled into conspiracies surroubding the Bilderberg Group because that misguides one from fully solving the class causing major problems in the world society: the 1%

    • But wait! Surely the Bilderbergers are the 1% …so why aren’t the Occupiers protesting them?

      • I see what you mean. Yes, they are part of big business, the 1% as you will. There are many “Occupy Bilderberg” groups so maybe they have an event scheduled about that. I feel the mainstay of the movement isn’t going there because they don’t want to be pulled into conspiracism. When the Economic Elite vs. the 99% (or something like that) came out in January 2010 on Amped Status, many powerful elite groups like the Bilderberg Group were mentioned. That document served as a basis for what became the Occupy movement. Maybe its time for someone to reveal these groups again and then occupiers can take action… That’s what I think.

      • I think the Occupiers leave them alone (the Bilderbergers) because they are getting funding from the Lefties involved with Bilderbergers—like the Rockefeller Foundation and others. Maybe Occupiers and Tea Partiers have something in common?

      • Well, I’m actually writing about this right now, but I believe they leave the Bilderbergers alone because they feel it is not a main target. To some extent that is justified by Professor G. William Domhoff who describes: “So, I would say that the opponents are the corporate conservatives and the Republican Party, not the Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderbergers, and Bohemians. It is the same people more or less, but it puts them in their most important roles, as capitalists and political leaders, which are visible and legitimate…If thought of this way, then the role of a CFR as a place to try to hear new ideas and reach consensus is more readily understood, as is the function of a social club as a place that creates social cohesion. Moreover, those understandings of the CFR and the clubs fit with the perceptions of the members of the elite.”( So, this could be a reason for this possibly. While I craft an article about the power elite (yes they are part of it). But in the mean time, I recommend you read C. Wright Mills’s 1950s book, the Power Elite. Even though there are outdated references, it is still very relevant (some excerpts of the book, I found:

      • I found what I was talking about. See section III:
“I don’t view the Economic Elite as a small group of men who meet in secrecy to control the world. They do feature elements of conspiracy and are clearly composed of secretive organizations like the Bilderberg Group – this is not a conspiracy theory, this is a conspiracy fact – but as a whole the Economic Elite are primarily united by ideology. They’re made up of thousands of individuals who subscribe to an ideology of exploitation and the belief that wealth and resources need to be concentrated into the fewest hands possible (theirs), at the expense of the many.
That being said, there are some definite lead players in this group and it is important that we are not too vague and expose the individuals who publicly lead them. Focusing on the fundamental structure of the US economy, we have people like Hank Paulson, Tim Geithner, Ben Bernanke, Robert Rubin, Larry Summers, Alan Greenspan, Lloyd Blankfein, Jamie Dimon, John Mack, Vikram Pandit, John Thain, Hank Greenberg, Ken Lewis, John J. Castellani, Edward Yingling and Tom Donohue.
In total, the Economic Elite are made up of about 0.5% of the US population. At the center of this group is the Business Roundtable, an organization representing Fortune 500 CEOs that is also interlocked with several lead elite organizations. Most Americans have never heard of the Business Roundtable. However, in my analysis, it is the most influential and powerful Economic Elite organization.”

  2. […] you wonder why the Occupiers don’t seem to be interested in the Bilderbergers—-surely part of the 1%!  Well, it looks like the reason is that this is their 1%, their bag […]
