Political consultant David Axelrod buys $1.7 million condo in Chicago

Don’t you just love it, one of the great strategists of Obama’s “redistribution” politics doesn’t think redistributing wealth applies to him.   Somehow “do-gooders” like Axelrod (who says he got into politics because he is an idealist) escape any criticism for greed from their cadre.   I guess just because he has good thoughts about helping the poor, he can live like a king.  Barack and Michelle are similar ‘do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do’ hypocrites.

Here is the short story about his new multimillion dollar digs (how many families of the proletariat could live in his 3000 plus square foot condo?):

Longtime political strategist David Axelrod, who helped advise President Obama’s presidential run in 2008 and is serving as communications director for Obama’s re-election campaign, has paid $1.7 million for a four-bedroom, 3,320-square-foot condo unit in a high-rise condo along Michigan Avenue.

Axelrod, 57, also worked as a senior advisor in the Obama White House from 2009 until 2011, when he departed to begin work on the president’s re-election campaign. Despite his time in Washington, Axelrod always has kept a home base in Chicago.

Now, Axelrod appears to have decided to trade up.

Kind of interesting isn’t it that someone comes to Washington as a public servant and returns home a few years later RICH AS HELL!  In Axelrod’s case he was already rich, he just apparently became a lot richer while “advising” Obama.

By the way, it’s been that way since at least the New Deal era.
