ACORN founder, big Wade, loves Gustavo Torres

For your second laugh of the day (the first is here)…..

Wade Rathke, if you don’t know is the founder of the now discredited ACORN.  He writes a blog called Chief Organizers Blog and spends his time trying to “organize” the Left and unions in other countries (occasionally running up against some opposition from the Muslim Brotherhood which deep-down HATES the Union Socialists and Commies, but that is a story for another day).  His fall from grace at ACORN came before the famous Breitbart/O’Keefe hooker sting when Rathke’s brother Dale was found to be embezzling money from the organization that was ostensibly for the poor people.

Last night I came across his hit piece on Jim Simpson’s expose’ of CASA de Maryland.   Honestly, it is funny, you should read it.   He sounds like a tired old “silver pony-tail” (Breitbart’s description of the boys behind Obama) trying not to become irrelevant.    But, first, if you haven’t read it, please read Simpson’s “CASA de Maryland: The Illegals’ ACORN.

Here is Wade trying very hard to convince us that none of this damning information on Torres and CASA is sticking:

New Orleans   Reading the playbook, we are currently seeing the rightwing equivalent of a “Hail Mary” pass in their desperate attempt to somehow smear CASA de Maryland, one the largest and most effective state-based immigrant rights advocates in the country.  Although it is no doubt an expensive distraction for CASA, it important to see that this “attack and smear” scenario seems not to be getting any traction with virtually anyone in Maryland or elsewhere.  Thank goodness!

A marginal conservative outfit with the preposterous name of “Accuracy in Media,” first put out a hit piece of allegation, innuendo, and red-baiting, entitled, “CASA de Maryland:  The Illegals’ ACORN.”  I’m not precisely sure, but I don’t think that was NOT meant to be a compliment?   The author of the report was cited as being well known for his previous pieces on things like the Cloward-Piven “conspiracy,” which gives an informed reader a pretty good window to look into this garbage can.   [Ed—See one of many articles by Simpson on the Cloward-Piven strategy here]

Garbage can indeed.  Cloward and Piven were the brains behind the creation of ACORN in the first place.  Rathke was just a 1960’s hippie who bought into the strategy and set up ACORN and later SEIU.  Here is just one of many simple versions of the progression of ideas behind the thesis that called for bringing economic chaos to American cities by overloading the welfare system with demands from the “have-nots.”

By the way, my theory about the push for more immigration and for more illegal aliens in the US is that American “have-nots” have diminished in number so they (commies like Rathke) need to import poverty.  The immigrants are merely pawns in the old Lefties’ quest for power.

Here Rathke gives a big wet kiss to Gustavo Torres who sits on Rathke’s board:

I’m rooting for CASA and Gustavo Torres and proud to be associated with both of them.  I hope everyone in Maryland and the DC area where CASA and Torres’ work is known and respected learn something from these textbook ACORN aspersions and allegations, and stand as tall with them as I have been honored to do.

However, I have a sneaking suspicion that if Torres gathers more power with his immigrant army, they will be leaving ol’ Wade and the other silver pony-tails behind (just as the Muslim Brotherhood is kissing those Leftwing “democracy” organizers good-bye in Egypt).

  1. Great post Ann!

  2. […] it is much more interesting to see what Wade looking-for-relevance Rathke (founder of ACORN) and friend of CASA de Maryland has to say about Kobach in the wake of his report to […]
