O’Malley: Tea Party is ‘Alice in Wonderland’

On his reelection for another term at the helm of the Democrat Governor’s Conference, Maryland Governor and future President wannabee, Martin O’Malley (besides his ‘Alice in Wonderland’ swipe at the Tea Party) called for Democrat governors to save the country by spending more taxpayers’ money.

From the Washington Post:

LOS ANGELES — Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley labeled leading Republican presidential hopefuls here this week as narrow-minded ideologues. He cast the tea party as more “Alice in Wonderland” than of the Boston variety and challenged Democratic governors to “courageously” support greater government spending for the sake of the country’s future.

Read the article, but more importantly at least open the link to see the photo and the expressions on the faces of the two other governors in the photo—they look to be wondering–-‘what the heck is he saying?’   Kind of amusing to think that Washington Post editors must have chosen that particular photo, surely one of many they could have selected.

The readers comments are pretty enlightening too, so be sure to check them out!

According to the WaPo, the Dems want to put O’Malley’s face on the party rather than the frozen, eyes popping face of that other former Baltimore native Nancy Pelosi!  What is it with Baltimore?

  1. O’Malley might have a point. The Tea Party folks in Maryland certainly WILL be grinning like the Cheshire Cat next November, when in-state tuition for O’Malley’s “New Americans” is squashed.

When Sandler & CASA dropped the part of the lawsuit that claimed Neil Parrott’s online petition system was not legal, that means we don’t get a definitive judgement on the matter. Could it be that O’Malley fears the courts will find Parrott’s system valid, which would make many delegates unwilling to back controversial social issues like homosexual marriage and special rights for the “transgendered”? If you were a delegate and knew that you’d take the heat for voting FOR homosexual marriage, only to see it defeated in a referendum, you might decide the pain isn’t worth it.

O’Malley needs to prove to the same Progressive Puppet Masters who gave us Obama that he can actually get things done. If he can’t advance the liberal agenda in deep-Blue Maryland, they will look elsewhere. Andrew Cuomo got homosexual marriage passed in NY. He’s young & good-looking, too.
