Dan Andros: Who is Grover Norquist?

Who is Dan Andros that he didn’t know who Grover Norquist is?

Mr. Andros it seems is a producer at Glenn Beck, here, listed in the credits.

Late last week he wrote this little piece at Beck’s website—The Blaze (it is short so this is the whole thing):

Who is Grover Norquist? I’d never heard his name mentioned before, until recently when MSNBC started holding him up as some sort of boogeyman. Former Senator Alan Simpson guested on Lawrence O‘Donnell’s craptastic program and said Norquist is more powerful than the President of the United States, adding:

“Grover Norquist should be examined into– where does he get his money? Peel all the layers of the onion… Anytime anyone gets this powerful.. you want to dig in… who is he slave to?”

First of all, it’s kind of funny to see the same dolts who called Glenn Beck a crazy conspiracy theorist for covering George Soros now trying to invent their very own right wing version of Soros. And honestly, I think Soros would be insulted. Soros and his billions in donations and influence on Progressive causes is well documented – and clearly having an impact. What about Grover? After a few minutes on Google I learned that Norquist’s claim to fame is creating the group Americans for Tax Reform in 1985. Their primary policy goal: to reduce the percentage of the GDP consumed by the federal government.

How has this man, more powerful than the President, succeeded in advancing his evil plot to reduce the size of government? He’s had a quarter century to work on that.

Beck also spent some time on his radio program last week making fun of Alan Simpson and suggesting that someone named Grover was getting his money from Sesame Street.

Norquist doesn’t like Beck as we learned from this little episode in 2010.

If Dan did some googling he sure didn’t go very far because he might have googled Glenn Beck and Grover Norquist and gotten this little nugget—-Norquist doesn’t like Beck very much.  Norquist sent a little message to Beck in 2010—he put Beck’s gift of a chalkboard in the same category as those cat sweaters grandma sent every year for Christmas.

But, that’s not the important point—who cares if Norquist hates Beck’s guts.

How on earth did Andros miss Norquist’s connections to Islam and the many questions raised for years about his loyalty to America.   We have posted many times on these pages about those concerns, here is just one post about Norquist’s comment just this year that Shariah law is compatible with the US Constitution.  Here is our complete archive on Norquist.

You should also check this lengthy and detailed piece by Pamela Geller at American Thinker (Grover Norquist’s Jihad) that chronicles the long sordid tale.

So why is Norquist being held up as the number one boogeyman in the on-going debt and budget battles?  [I’ve noticed too the inordinate amount of attention Norquist is getting in the Leftwing media. You know the bigger they are the harder they fall!].

On this Andros is correct—they are setting him up as the face of the Republican Party.  But my theory is that they know they can bring him down one day over his questionable Islamic connections and when they do they will bring everyone who is close to Norquist down with him.

Remember Alinsky’s Rule 13 on how to bring not just the ‘target’ down, but everyone associated with the target.

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

Steer clear of Grover Norquist!

Oh, and by the way, Dan, Simpson is right to ask who is Norquist a slave to?
