I chuckled to myself when I saw this piece about Glenn Beck’s interview with retired General Jerry Boykin who told Beck that Norquist is a Muslim Brotherhood enabler:
Here is Right Wing Watch (at least the Left is paying attention if the Republican establishment isn’t!):
For the last year or so, there has been an effort among anti-Islam activists to convince the conservative movement that Grover Norquist is a “one-man fifth column” and front for the Muslim Brotherhood.
Yesterday, Glenn Beck and Jerry Boykin added their voices to the chorus…
Watch the clip here.
Also, check out Right Side News here for a good summary of the Center for Security Policy‘s ten part course on the Muslim Brotherhood in America (released a few days ago). Norquist’s activities are summarized in Parts 4 and 6.
So why am I chuckling?
Norquist doesn’t like Beck as we saw here in 2010. When Norquist received a gift of a Beck blackboard, it was reported that Norquist banished it to a broom closet (actually an audio visual equipment closet, but that didn’t have the same ring to it).
Meanwhile Beck didn’t know who Norquist was, or at least Beck’s producer Dan Andros didn’t. Here in August 2011, Andros disses former Senator Alan Simpson who has openly criticized (and warned us about) Norquist. Simpson wants to know who Norquist is a “slave” to? Producer Andros asked ‘who the heck is Grover Norquist?’ implying that he is some fictional bogeyman.
Norquist surely knew who Beck was even if Norquist had not registered on Beck’s own radar screen (until now that is).
Note to Glenn’s producers: I guess Glenn gets it now, but just in case here is my archive on Grover Norquist where I’ve written dozens of posts you might find useful for your research.
I was listening to Glenn Beck’s program when that exchange was made. The first thing I thought was: I wonder if Ann is listening to this?
Glenn has awakened!
