Poffenberger disses Democrats with his three monkeys flyer

I disciplined myself and wrote a bunch of posts this morning on important issues before allowing myself a laugh over Brien Poffenberger’s recent flyer to voters of Maryland District 2b.   You can read all about Democrat Poffenberger’s increasingly dirty campaign against Republican and Hagerstown Tea Party founder Neil Parrott here in Poffenberger the Progressive.

Two days ago, Poffenberger took a break from accusing Parrott of sending jobs to China and Mexico (quite a feat for a political newcomer running for the first time for a State Delegates seat) and treated voters to some humor.

I wish I could show you the flyer, but here is what he says on the front side:  “TIRED OF ALL THE MONKEYING AROUND IN ANNAPOLIS?”  Above that line he has a picture of the historic Maryland State House and below the line he has three monkeys in suits (well chimps actually) and one is smoking a cigar.

Now, let me ask you, who runs Annapolis and has for just about forever?  The Democrats right!  So, the first thing I thought when I saw the flyer was that the MONKEYS could be labeled:  Mike (Miller, Maryland Senate President), Mike (Busch, Speaker of the House) and Martin (Governor O’Malley).

When Poffenberger says on the reverse side of the Monkey flyer that, “We need more solutions in Annapolis, LESS MONKEY BUSINESS,” and says he is sick of “downstate politicians” calling the shots does he know that the downstate politicians (Mike, Mike and Martin) running Annapolis are all his fellow Democrats?  Does he expect us country class voters to believe he plans to take on Mike, Mike and Martin if he gets to Annapolis?

Or, is this just one more attempt by Poffenberger to fool voters into thinking he isn’t a Democrat?
