Just a reminder that the Hagerstown Tea Party will host Sheriff Chuck Jenkins of Frederick County and Brad Botwin, the director of Help Save Maryland, tonight in Washington County, MD for a forum on illegal immigration in Maryland and what we can do about it. All the information is posted here.
Elected officials and candidates for public office of all persuasions have been invited to learn more about clearly one of the hottest issues facing voters in Maryland and in the nation this November. Candidates may bring campaign literature for people interested in receiving it.
Brian Murphy, candidate for Governor, will meet with supporters in advance of the meeting beginning at 5 p.m. at the same venue as the meeting. Please come out and meet him. He has received the endorsement of Sheriff Jenkins because of his strong commitment to enforce the law regarding illegal aliens. Mr. Murphy has also clearly expressed his willingness to promote an Arizona-like law for Maryland.
We have not heard from other candidates for governor and whether they will be at the meeting.
Please note that the Hagerstown Tea Party has not endorsed any one candidate for governor or for any other elected office. The purpose of this forum is to learn more about illegal immigration so that we are a better informed electorate.
