I received this notice yesterday by e-mail. It’s a great idea and I suggest other Tea Parties in the quad-state region get involved with this immigration coalition! (Emphasis is mine)
Tea Party activists and immigration reformers from PA, NJ, NY, DE, Washington, DC, have joined forces to support policies to effectively secure our border and enforce our current federal and state immigration laws fairly and consistently without regard to race, color, religion or national origin. The Tea Party Immigration Coalition’s (TPIC) mission is to encourage tea party activists and organizations interested in the issue of border security and illegal immigration to work together with local, state and national immigration organizations and policy makers. Rampant illegal immigration negatively affects our economy. Illegal immigration has a negative fiscal impact on virtually all aspects of our economy including education, health care and law enforcement. TPIC advocates for legal immigration and comprehensive enforcement of our laws. TPIC does not support amnesty in any form. TPIC supports realistic immigration reform that makes our nation’s security, and the safety, health and welfare of all citizens and legal residents a top priority. TPIC supports immigration reform that offers job security and job protection for American workers first. TPIC has met with national policy leaders on immigration. TPIC supports the efforts of national immigration policy groups such as NumbersUSA, FAIR, the Immigration Reform Caucus and the Reclaim American Jobs Caucus of the House of Representatives. The following groups are represented in this coalition,Philadelphia Tea Party Patriots, RePatriot Radio, The Kitchen Table Patriots, Berks County Tea Party, the 911 Families for a Secure America, Delaware 912, P4ICE (Pennsylvanians for Immigration Control and Enforcement). Members and leaders of tea party groups nationwide are encouraged to contact TPIC and join the coalition.
