I just this morning came across this excellent blog—AlinskyDefeater’s Blog—which I will now add to our blogroll because I plan to visit frequently. This post from yesterday is about Rule #5, Alinsky’s most potent rule about ridiculing one’s opponent.
Those of you who have studied Alinsky tactics know that he dedicates “Rules for Radicals” to Satan. And, I must say as you read it, you get an eery feeling that Alinsky was motivated by something that didn’t involve the goodness of his heart. That said, I like what this blogger says at the end of the post:
Let me be clear (oops where have I heard that before?) I am against the use of Alinsky tactics whenever possible. I would love it if we could completely eliminate them, but until such a day arrives we need to know when they’re being used, how to defend ourselves and how to use them ourselves until we are in power and can curtail them.
